I really had no intention of seeing Harold and Kumar but I caved in Saw it and loved it.
It is all christmas fun, every thing you love and more packed into this one crazy film.

Well as always I will continue the tradition of listing off “Great Christmas Gift Ideas” every 2
days during the countdown. I’ll also be reviewing christmas, and basically blogging about anything
Christmas related so lets begin THE COUNTDOWN OF 2011

This movie from start to finish has almost every idea that can ever be put into a film. Citizen Kane features
comedy, drama, musical numbers, fourth wall jokes, panning, zooming, creative scenery
intriguing dialogue, nearly  everything that has been done in recent films, Citizen Kane packs it all in
one single film. The plot is very simple, that you can understand the plot simply by reading the title.
The movie follows the life story of Charles Foster Kane, a newspaper tycoon who becomes a millionaire.

This film was directed, co-written and starred Orsen Welles. Orsen did a very fantastic job at each of
the three responsibilities  that he had during the making of the film. Not many people can handle all
that pressure during the process of film making. The only other person I can recall of the top of my head
is Ben Affleck in making his latest film “The Town” where he too Acted, Wrote, and Directed the film.
Orsen Welles was nominated for each of the categories i stated but only won an oscar for the writing of
Citizen Kane.

Now while the movie is great, the film has it’s downfalls. The movie was made in the 1940′s so it’s
very hard to concentrate on this film, I found myself dosing off at certain points where the movie dragged.
This isn’t the type of film where you can just watch by yourself or with one other person, you need at least
a room of four. Now besides the dragging on at some points of the film, the rest of the film is great. I mean
as I said, for a movie just to pack in so many things and for the movie to still to turn out great, is really
the driving point of this film. I give this film a 9/10, it is definitely not for everyone, but for film buffs

Hey everyone im back and, i get tired of just writing down words everys ingle second when doing a post, so whenever I am totally lazy and dont feel like writing I will just post up the review i did on my youtube page on my word press.

As I said in my youtube movie review of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 this movie
is “FUCKING AWESOME”. I mean when i saw the first Harry Potter movie i didnt become a die hard
fan, around the time of the third movie “The Prisoner of Azkaban” is when I truly started to care about
the Harry Potter franchise. Although there was a rough patch when I saw “The Order of the Pheonix” .

Now we are officialy done with the entire Harry Potter Franchise. Literally we are done, there will be no more
movies. That is until J.K. Rowling finally runs out of money in 10 years. Now even though the movies of Harry Potter
are done, the fans, the universal landscape that was just created, and definetly the books, will live on in infamy as one
the greatest creations to ever be brought about in the 21st Century.

Now the movie itself is best put as many people are calling it “Armagedon with Wizards”.I can not put it any better
than that because that is exactly what this movie is. This movie was like a war movie in some ways, just you know, without
AK47′s. As for the characters, as always the acting is nothing to complain about. I honestly hope Daniel Radcliffe continues
to persue his actor career after Harry Potter dies out. My favorite character throughout the film was surprisingly Nevil, because
of  how much they decided to use him in this film compared to every other film where he was just a side character.

Another thing too that made me laugh out loud was that they finaally decided to say a curse word in a Harry Potter Movie.
They did they used the word “Bitch”. Even though I was hoping for a F-Bomb throughout most of the film, yeah well they donnt say
fuuck in this movie, I know very disapointing.

So in turn the ten years of Harry Potter movies was fantastic, i enjoyed every second of it, and yes it is upsetting how it is
officialy over and that we now have to deal with fucking Twilight. Harry Potter will live on in our hearts as one of the most
celebrated characters ever made. I give Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, a 10/10 star rating, the movie is simply amazing, it is the best
movie of summer 2011 so far, and will probably be that way through the whole summer.

The film noir genre has been fading in Hollywood and being replaced with the Hollywood we’ve been forced to accept today. However every now and then, we’ll get a film that will remind us of the fascinating aspects of that said genre, and also take the time to satirize it at the same time. And that is about the perfect way to describe the dark, crazy lunacy of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Before Robert Downey Jr. became the most famous face in the world from Iron Man and Tropic Thunder, he, Val Kilmer, Michelle Monaghan, and writer Shane Black (making his directorial debut with this feature) made a small little crime/dark comedy that pays tribute to the film noir genre, but also makes fun of it as well.

Petty thief Harry Lockhart (Robert Downey Jr.) is involved in a botched robbery in New York City where his accomplice is killed in a gunfight, and he’s on the run from the police. However, he mistakenly stumbles into an movie audition room for a hardboiled detective film while the police are looking for him. Surprisingly, he impresses the producers with his emotional outburst, mostly from the guilt of the botched robbery and the death of his partner in crime. The producers believe him to be a method actor, hire him for the role, and fly him out to Hollywood to start prepping for the film. While there, he’s introduced to private investigator Perry (Val Kilmer), who has been enlisted to help Harry with his role. In addition, Harry also runs into his high school crush Harmony Lane (Michelle Monaghan, who is hella hot as a brunette!). Unfortunately, the relationships between the three get constricted when a conspiracy unravels composed of kidnapping and murder.

Robert Downey Jr. is electric on screen, and his performance shines because of how much of a screw-up his character is. He switches in between the bounds of farce and realism, and those transitions are especially present in his hugely entertaining voice-over narrations. Val Kilmer chews up every scene he’s in and he has electric chemistry with Downey. They both play very well off each other and the clever dialogue they’re given really ups their already terrific performances. It’s rare to find Val Kilmer this funny in movies these days because of the success he enjoyed back in the 1980s and early 90s, but his comedic timing is spot-on throughout. Usually I’m not that fond of Michelle Monaghan as an actress, but she definitely gives her best performance in this film. Her chemistry with Downey Jr. and Kilmer is great, and she’s definitely a lot sexier with blonde hair. Lose the brown as soon as you can sis!

Shane Black had been absent from Hollywood for nearly ten years until he made this film, but what a comeback he made with it! His script it filled with constant bits of very clever comedy, and his style of having his characters joke about the situations or events they’re going through has a high presence in the film as well. He pays an extensive tribute to the film noir genre, especially within the music and the detective story that is the main driving plot for the film, but he also takes the time to satirize the genre, too, especially involving a fictional noir novel series that appears off and on during the investigation. Black’s direction style is similar to Guy Ritchie’s because of the fast pace and quickly delivered dialogue between the actors, but there are certain hints within the movie that give his style a lot of originality that we’ve never seen before in most detective/dark comedy films we’ve come to see for the past ten years.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is one clever as hell  satirical crime/dark comedy film that not only manages to constantly entertain you, but also has the ability to make fun of the classic genre it pays tribute to as well. This movie is seriously overlooked as well, and it’s quite a shame because of how clever and original the style is along with the great performances. A great comeback for Shane Black and a great vehicle for actor Val Kilmer makes this one of the most underrated films of the last decade in film, so rent or buy this film as soon as possible if you can!
